Education and Experience
Dr. Colton Carmical grew up with a natural pull toward the health sciences, so when it came time to choose a career path, the answer was pretty clear, and came with a great perk: the chance to learn from his father, Dr. Douglas Carmical.
Dr. Carmical earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Arkansas before going on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. After graduating, he came home and joined his father in the family practice.

That kind of environment doesn’t happen by accident, and it makes a difference that patients can feel from the moment they walk in.
The goal with every visit is simple: make sure each patient feels like a person, not an appointment. Whether that means being available for an after-hours emergency or checking in after a procedure, the whole team is committed to showing patients that their comfort and well-being actually matter here.
Continuing Education
Dr. Carmical believes that good dentistry never stops evolving, and neither should he. Since graduating, he has invested significant time in continuing education to stay current on the latest techniques and technologies, which means more treatment options and better outcomes for his patients.
He has pursued focused training in implant restoration, denture fabrication, and Invisalign® clear aligner therapy, always with an eye toward restoring function and helping patients feel confident in their smiles.
Beyond the Practice
Born and raised in Rogers, Dr. Carmical has called Bella Vista home since returning from school. He lives there with his wife, Maeghen, their dog Fiona, and two cats, Poptart and Earl, who keep things lively.
Outside the office, you’ll usually find him somewhere on the water or in the woods. He spends time floating the rivers of the Arkansas and Missouri Ozarks and exploring the trails of northwest Arkansas on foot or by mountain bike. At home, the kitchen is where he recharges, whether that’s working through a long cook or baking something from scratch.
